Waterbury Campus - New Wireless Network: NVCC IT has started implementing a new wireless network on the Waterbury campus. At the same time, we are removing the old wireless network in most locations.

Wireless devices you use will need to be configured to connect to the new wireless network following these instructions. Students, Faculty and Staff should connect to the ConnSCU network name.

Student Email / Office 365

NVCC Student Email Accounts and Office 365

As a Connecticut Community College student, you have access to:

  •  A college email address (this will be your primary email address for all official college communications)
  •  Office 365 Pro Plus (this full version of Microsoft Office can be installed on up to five computers)


Your college email address

  • All current and new students will have an official Office 365 account and email address:
  • The ‘prefix’ will consist of the first letter of your first name followed by the first four letters of your last name and then a four-digit random number. Example:

Logging into your college email

There are three ways to access Office 365:

  1. Log into myCommNet and click on the link to Office 365.  (You will login in to Office 365 with your Net ID and password. View step-by-step instructions.)
  2. Access your email directly:
  3. From any page on, scroll to the top of page and click on "quick links," then click on the icon titled, "email."

The IT Department supports students, faculty and staff across campus via our online NV IT Service Desk and emergency phone line. IT is responsible for providing the community with appropriate software and hardware to support the information and processing needs of the faculty and students. IT is also charged with maintaining adequate and reliable network access to electronic information systems on campus.
