Program Overview
Non-credit Online Learning is offered in collaboration with Ed2go in 2 formats.
6-week courses are accelerated with 12 lessons. A lesson becomes available on Wednesday and Friday of each of the 6 weeks. The lessons include interactive quizzes, assignments and tutorials. Online discussion area supplement the lessons.
Online Career Training courses are designed to provide the workforce skills necessary to enter a new field or advance your current career. These courses range from 70 -384 hours each and are self-paced so you have the time you need to master the material. Courses must be completed within 6 – 12 months of registration unless an extension is approved by Ed2go.
When considering an online course, it is important to think about what kind of a learner you are and will your learning environment support your success. Will you have the time to dedicate to your lessons in your own home environment? Do you learn better with more structure? A teacher in front of the class? A specific meeting time? Course Registration and Payment Plans
No formal application to the College is required for non-credit/workforce training courses.
Registrations are accepted on an ongoing basis for upcoming classes.
Registration Steps
To Register for Online Career Training:
- Call the Office of Lifelong Learning at 203-575-8029 to register with a credit or debit card.

To Register for an ed2go course:
- Visit our Online Instruction Center
- Click courses in the top tool bar.
- Click the department for your course.
- Click on the course.
- Click Enroll Now and follow orientation instructions.
- Once you have completed the online orientation, call NVCC at 203-575-8029 to register and pay for your courses.
