Student Clubs

Clubs are a way for students to connect with other students on campus that share similar interests. Being part of a club is a great way to find a place to belong and have fun on campus. Contact a club advisor below for meeting times.

Reserving Spaces

Reserving Spaces

How to reserve space for club events, fundraisers or meetings on campus

As clubs plan their activities, campus facilities, IT requirements and maintenance requests must be submitted and approved through the Office of Student Activities and then from the Registrar on the EMS System.

NOTE: Club meetings can be secured by club advisors or their secretaries in their department through the EMS System. – Approval will be secured by the Registrar to the club advisor through email, no signature is required from the Director of Student Activities.

If a club plans to host a campus event or fundraiser, the club must fill out the Student Activities Facility Approval Request Form and submit it to the Director of Student Activities along with any IT and Maintenance layout requests. No large events or fundraisers will be approved by the Registrar without the Director of Student Activities signature. See list of maps below to attach to this form for approval when event requires a setup of campus space.

Student Government

Student Government Association (SGA)

The student governing body at the College is the Student Government Association (SGA).

Who is SGA?

The SGA comprises senators from the general student population and representatives from each recognized student club. The SGA provides an opportunity for the expression of student interests and concerns regarding the affairs of the college. This leadership body works closely with the college administration.

No previous student government leadership experience is necessary to participate in this organization. All meetings of the SGA are open to the general college population. This year's weekly SGA meetings will be held on Wednesdays in room L501 from 4-5:00 pm. Executive Officer Meetings are also held weekly. The day and time are to be determined.

Stop into the Student Activities Office room S514 for more information or contact Karen Blake.

To contact an officer of the SGA call 203-596-2185 or stop by S516.
