    Join in the spooky festivities and walk arount the seaport for day, visit museums, join trolley tours and shop

    around the area.

    To sign up go to Student Activities in S514 or S515.  Students are $10.00 and 1 guest is $15.00.

    Open to all students until October 2.  All others can join after that point to fill up the seating.

    About the International Conference on Child Rights & Sight: DCI holds its International Conference on Child Rights & Sight to raise awareness on child rights, including child labor and diseases that affect vision. The event gathers world-class speakers and leaders to address these pressing issues and discuss creative solutions.

    Conference Objectives

    1.      Discuss current issues affecting children and promote awareness locally, nationally & internationally

    2.      Provide a platform for local, national & international participants to showcase achievements & share lessons from their experience working against child poverty, child labor & treatable blindness

    3.      Build a stronger international network & forge new partnerships among like-minded individuals, researchers, campaigners, policymakers & organizations.

  • Bus Trip to Botanical Gardens & Bronx Zoo

    Bus Trip to Botanical Gardens & Bronx Zoo

    Sponsored by the Student Government Association

    Agro-Bio Club & Hispanic Student Union

    ITINERY:  Leave NVCC Parking Lot D at 8:30 AM sharp.  Danbury Campus Pickup. Travel by bus to the Botanical Garden.  Arrival  10:30 AM.  Leave NYBG for Zoo @ 2:30PM.  Supper stop at Fordham University Leave NY 5:15 PM  Arrive approximately NVCC 8:00PM

    MEALS:  Bring a lunch or buy one there—yes they offer good food but at New York City prices.  Food is available at two onsite cafes.  We will be going to Fordham University Rathskeller for supper (or bring your own).

    COST:  Students $20, others $35.  Please specify if you want a DANBURY pickup en route.

    Sign-up: Student Activities Office.  Please make checks payable to the NVCC.  Please include your phone number. Payment is due at the time you signup.  This includes the bus and admission to all activities at the NYBG & Zoo admission.  There will be no refunds after 10/23/2015.  Severe Weather:  In the event that the college is officially closedand all activities are cancelled, the trip will be rescheduled.  Listen to the public service announcement on the radio and television.                                                                         

    SEAT AVAILABILITY - Open to NVCC students, staff, and their guests.  Minimum age requirement 4 years old.
