General Payment Information

Credit card payments are fast and easy

  • You can pay online signing in to your myCommNet account Banner Self-Service. Click to Pay Online.
  • You can pay by phone by calling the Bursar's Office at (203) 575-8055.
  • You can fax your credit card information to (203) 596-8623

Electronic Check – Electronic payments require a bank routing number and account number.  Payments can be made from a personal checking or savings account.  You cannot use corporate checks, i.e. credit cards, home equity, traveler’s checks, etc.

Debit and Credit Card – Credit card payments will be processed for the full balance unless otherwise directed. We accept the following credit and debit cards:

ATM Debit Card – The following networks are supported. Debit cards issued by Bank of America, Chase, US Bank, and Wells Fargo cannot be processed as a debit card online.

Pay by Cash or Check

On Campus:

  • In Person: Visit the Bursar's Office in Kinney Hall, Room 506 M-F from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. 
  • Skip the Line - Drop off your payment: Enclose your payment in an envelope with your Student Name and ID number clearly marked. Place your payment in the secured mailbox located just outside the Bursar's Office.

Please be sure to include Student Name and ID number on the check. A $25 fee will be posted on the student account for any returned check not honored by a banking institution.

Textbook Purchase

NVCC textbooks may be purchased at the George D. Yonan Memorial Bookstore.  The bookstore also carries a variety of course supplies and New York Times Bestsellers, student favorites such as clothing, backpacks, glassware and gift items. Bookstore is located at the student plaza 3rd level, center building in Room S300.

Payment Due Dates

Fall 2017

Semester Registration begins April 10, 2017. Remember to pay your non-refundable college services and student activity fees when you register. Be sure to make your complete payment by August 1, 2017 so that we can guarantee your seat or let us know if you are taking advantage of one of our flexible payment arrangements listed below.

• A fully-authorized financial aid award (sorry-pending award cannot be applied)

• A convenient payment plan (Link)

• A letter from a third party providing unconditional guarantee of payment - visit Bursars (Cashier's) Office for more information.


Summer 2017 Session

• Registration begins April 3, 2016.  

• Full payment is due at the time of registration.

Payment Plan

Summer 2017 Session

Payment is due in full when you register, however, you can also sign up for a payment plan online or in person at the Bursar’s Office during normal business hours.

Fall 2017 Semester

Online installment payment plan begins July 18. 

Make sure that you pay your student activity and college services fees when you register so we can guarantee your seat.

To Enroll Online:

  • Log into myCommNet
  • Click: “Banner Student & Faculty Self Service”
  • Click: “Billing/Payment”
  • Click: “Enroll in Installment Plan” from box on the left.
  • Click: “Installment Plan and eBill Center”
  • Click: “Installment Plan and eBill Center"
  • Select: "Payment Plan" in TouchNet center.

To enroll in person:

Visit the Bursar's (Cashier's) Office during normal business hours.

Please note:

  • You must be enrolled in 3 credit hours or more.
  • You can choose from biweekly installments or fixed dates. 
  • You can select "Automatic Payments" to be deducted directly from your bank account.
  • Automatic reminders will be sent to your college email.
  • A service charge of $25.00 will be applied - non-refundable.
  • $15.00 late fee is automatically charged if payment is not made within 3 days after the due date.
  • Partial financial aid students can enroll in person only.
  • If you are paying with check or cash, please visit the Bursar's Office to enroll.
  • You can set up an “Authorized User” to manage your bill. 
  • If you receive financial aid or a loan after enrolling, it is your responsibility to contact the Cashiers Office to get removed from the plan to avoid late charges.
  • Failure to pay the tuition or enroll in a payment plan by the appropriate date may result in cancellation of registration. Students whose classes are canceled for non-payment will need to re-register on a space-available basis when able to pay tuition.

Important – If a student cannot afford to make a payment and/or is no longer interested in taking classes, it is their sole responsibility to withdraw from those courses by the established due date or the student may be subject to applicable charges. Please be sure to read our refund policies
