Academic Associate

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Division Director, the Academic Associate shall assist the science faculty by:  recruiting, supervising and evaluating Educational Assistants and Student Assistants who work in science labs; preparing biology, chemistry, physics, horticulture and environmental science labs for instructional purposes; facilitate computerized ordering, maintaining and inventorying lab equipment and supplies.   The candidate must be able to administer, maintain and adhere to safety standards and health compliances as directed by internal and external agencies.  The position will provide tutorial assistance in the major field and will provide mentoring in the use of lab equipment, materials, and software usage in addition to proctoring student exams.

Assistant Director of Admissions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions performs a full range of operations and administrative tasks in support of the admission and enrollment of students at a two-year Connecticut Community College which has open enrollment and which offers degree and certificate programs in a broad range of liberal arts, transfer, occupational and career studies. In addition, the position provides advising services to prospective students to assist them in enrolling in programs best suited to their academic and experiential preparation. The position also performs outreach tasks to inform communities about the services of the College and to promote enrollment meeting College program standards.  The Assistant Director of Admissions is responsible for contributing to the enrollment of students meeting the College’s enrollment requirements through effective performance in the areas of enrollment administration; admissions advising; outreach and student recruitment and supervising or leading the work of support staff.  The incumbent will be assigned to the Waterbury campus and will also have some responsibility for supporting the Danbury campus.  Hours may vary and can include some evenings and weekends.

Director of Institutional Research

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Institutional Research performs complex and comprehensive analyses of information about the College, its programs and its students in order to afford useful and reliable guidance to the College’s policymakers on the effectiveness of the institution and on future strategic direction of the College through performance in the areas of data collection and analysis; information management and strategic planning and guidance.

Enrollment and Retention Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Division Director, the Enrollment and Retention Specialist performs a full range of operations and administrative tasks in support of the enrollment and retention of students within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) division.  In addition, the position provides advising services to prospective students to assist them in enrolling in programs best suited to their academic and experiential preparation. The position also performs outreach tasks to inform communities about the services of the College and to promote enrollment meeting College program standards. The Enrollment and Retention Specialist is accountable for contributing to the enrollment and retention of students meeting the College’s requirements through performance in the areas of enrollment administration; advising and academic support; outreach and student recruitment and retention and case management

Programmer/Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Programmer/Analyst uses contemporary analysis, design, and programming methodologies and tools to translate authorized user requests into computer applications, reports, and services.  This entails the analysis of existing procedures and programs, framing and explication of user requirements, the design of alternative solutions, the acquisition of application modules/programs and/or writing of new modules/programs and/or modification of existing modules/programs, and the implementation of new systems components, including user training and the ability to administer, design and program SQL databases and queries. The Programmer/Analyst is accountable for assuring that College faculty, staff and administrators have access to quality computer software through effective performance in the essential areas of development of specifications; modifications; user training and support and programming activity documentation.

Systems Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Systems Manager performs and oversees the installation, operation and maintenance of complex servers, virtual and physical, and enterprise applications at the College which uses information technology services to support such functions as instruction, business operation, student records, library services, messaging and e-mail systems and computer labs. The position may also provide a range of information technology services to the various computer users of the College including installation, configuration and testing of personal computers, printers and other such devices and the diagnosis and repair of operating problems with those types of equipment.

Hiring Information
