Announcement of Applicant Pool for Part-Time Positions

In anticipation of record enrollments we are expanding our applicant pool for part-time instructors of credit and non-credit courses and part time Educational Assistants.  Part-time day, evening and weekend positions may be available in Waterbury and Danbury. 

Part Time Lecturers (PTLs)
The following are examples of the types of areas that may be needed:

Master's Degree in subject area required. College teaching experience and/or related work experience preferred.

Part-Time Educational Assistants (EAs)
The following are examples of the types of positions and services that may be needed:

Clinical faculty for Allied Health & Nursing programs, Tutors in: Mathematics; English; Reading/Writing; Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Testing Specialists & Assistants, Academic Advisors & Counselors, Lab Assistants, Scheduling Assistants, Computer Specialists, Technicians: Electrical; Electronics; Automotive; Manufacturing; Mechanical, Librarians and Library Assistants, Marketing Assistants and specialists to work with business and industry.

Degree requirements, hours per week, and salary vary with position. Fees for contractual services also vary with nature and duration of service.

Non Credit Lecturers (NCLs)/Continuing Education Instructors/Trainers

Listed below are a selection of fields in which there is a continuous need for instructors and trainers:

Non Credit Lecturers Needed for openings at the Waterbury and Danbury campuses:

  • Medical Administrative Assistant, Waterbury and Danbury, Days
    Relevant educational degrees and related experience required. Teaching experience preferred.
  • Central Sterile Processing Technician, Waterbury and Danbury, Days or Evenings
    Relevant educational degrees, related experience required and CSPDT or CRCST certification required. Teaching experience preferred.
  • Bookkeeper – Danbury, Days
    Relevant educational degrees and related experience required. Teaching experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy Technician – Danbury, Days
    Relevant educational degrees, ASCP certification, and related experience required. Teaching experience preferred.
  • Certified Nurse Aide – Danbury, Days and Evenings
    Registered Nurse with 1 year long term care experience and 1 year teaching experience needed for classroom, lab, and clinical instruction.
  • Certified Nurse Aide – Thomaston, Days with rotating schedule
    Registered Nurse with 1 year long term care experience and 1 year teaching experience needed for classroom, lab, and clinical instruction.
  • Business Management – Danbury and Waterbury, Days
    Bachelors’ degree in related field and Master’s preferred. 2-3 years experience in a supervisory role.
  • Computer Technology – Danbury and Waterbury, Days
    Bachelors’ degree in related field and Master’s preferred. 2-3 years of relevant experience.  Teaching experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing  - Danbury and Waterbury, Days and Evenings
    Relevant educational degrees and related experience required. Teaching experience preferred.
