POSITION:
Educational Assistant, Temporary Part Time Position (Math Tutor/Mentor)

CLOSING DATE:

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Bridge to College Director and the Bridge to College Program Coordinator, math tutors will aid the Bridge to College administrative and instructional staff in implementing and delivering student services to program participants and to facilitate academic, cultural and social enrichment activities as they relate to students and staff.

DUTIES:

  • Conduct after school tutoring in math.
  • Take classroom attendance and report attendance.
  • Set up classroom and other areas for programs and events.
  • Complete daily focused tutoring logs.
  • Complete weekly objectives logs.
  • Communicate with assistant director and teacher advisors daily.
  • Other related duties supporting the implementation of the GEAR UP program to students and their families.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have at least an Associate’s Degree.

ANTICIPATED DATES:
Immediate until filled with an option for continued contract renewals depending on performance and availability of funds.

MINIMUM SALARY:
$23.75 per hour for 17 hours per week.  Flexible schedule.
