Naugatuck Valley Community College strives in providing the best quality products and services to its students, faculty and staff. 

The Purchasing Department buys everything from pencils to capital equipment and beyond. Our goal is to obtain the best product prices and warranties available. 

Our staff consists of two Fiscal Administrative Officers whose objective is to provide the faculty and staff the equipment, products and services they require. Our flexibility to do business with a wide variety of vendors allows us to benefit from the many resources available. The end results benefit the NVCC community and promote prosperous relationships with vendors.

In our effort to promote a wide variety purchasing relationships, Naugatuck Valley Community College belongs to the Connecticut Colleges Purchasing Group (“CCPG”). The CCPG is a state-wide buying consortium which supports the contribution of ideas from members and provides a variety of publicly bid vendor contracts to be utilized by all participating agencies. As an active member of the CCPG, Naugatuck Valley Community College adheres to its bylaws and policies which specifically state that the objectives of the consortium are to establish group purchase agreements for the benefits of member institutions; encourages cooperative relationships among its members; and promotes the development and implementation of effective purchasing.

In compliance with the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services Supplier Diversity (Set-Aside) program, which targets that at least 25% of the state's business is transacted with small businesses including those owned by minorities, women and the disabled, Naugatuck Valley Community College makes every effort to provide business to those qualified companies.

Smaller, routine purchases are processed through the purchasing department on a daily basis. We require that the ordering departments within the college provide us with vendors who can offer the products or services they are seeking. Time frames and budgets are always priority when purchases are made.

Accounting/Accounts Payable Department

To provide exceptional service to Vendors/Public/Faculty/Staff/Constituent Units of Naugatuck Valley Community College and the State of Connecticut; to achieve consistent accuracy, and compliance with State of Connecticut Accounting Manual, State Statutes, CT State Community College System Office, State of CT Comptroller’s Policies and Procedures & Naugatuck Valley Community College’s policies; to uphold a helpful, processional, approachable environment by displaying an attitude of sincere appreciation, kindness, helpfulness, understanding and guidance toward everyone; and to be viewed as a department where problems are quickly resolved and quick responses are rendered.

Print/Copy Center

The NVCC Print and Copy Center services faculty and staff with printed documents in a timely and efficient manner in order to facilitate student needs.

Cashiers Office

The Cashiers Office is committed to providing professional, quality, and timely service to our students, the public, and the surrounding community by handling the everyday needs of our customers in a way that reflects the highest standards that NVCC strives to achieve.  The students continue to be our primary concern.
