Naugatuck Valley Community College Class of 2015 Nursing students donated 20 fleece blankets to the neonatal intensive care units at St. Mary’s Hospital and Waterbury Hospital in May. A bake sale was organized to raise money for the materials for the blankets and the students met over the spring semester to get to work making them.
It can be hard to picture yourself inside as the weather starts getting warmer, but taking classes during the summer means less time in the classroom - not more! Summer semesters are more condensed than the regular fall and spring semesters so you can save yourself precious weeks of time by getting those courses done now!
The NVCC Nursing Program was represented by five students at the 62nd Annual Convention of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). The students participated in the event’s Project Showcase, at which members and faculty display posters representing their projects and research.
On May 29, 2014 at its 49th commencement, Naugatuck Valley Community College celebrated, for the fifth year in a row, the largest graduating class in the history of the College. The total number of awards conferred is 1,325.
