Community members are invited to celebrate 50 years of education and community service with Naugatuck Valley Community College (NVCC) on Fri., Sept. 12, when the College kicks off a three-year commemoration of its founding institutions, Waterbury State Technical College and Mattatuck Community College.
NVCC students showed off their creativity at a Fresh Ink Open Mic and Art Show at Martin's in downtown Danbury this May. The event was the first of it's kind in the City, and the first of many cultural events to come as the College looks to increase it's intellectual presence in the community. Approximately 60 guests attended throughout the course of the night to hear students read their works and explain their various art pieces.
Naugatuck Valley Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Irene Rios Knauf, Ed.D., as the College’s Dean of Academic Affairs.
The Advanced Manufacturing Centers Initiative was recognized for its program longevity since the creation of the first Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) at Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield in 1998, and for successfully duplicating the initiative in 2012 at three community colleges, including Naugatuck Valley Community College.
