Certificate in Modern Manufacturing Design

The certificate program in manufacturing prepares you for “hands-on” entry-level positions in the manufacturing sector as an inspector, machine operator, CNC operator or planner.

The program teaches basic math, blueprint reading and manufacturing processes, focusing more on application than our associate degree program, which concentrates on technical engineering concepts.

Fifty percent of the courses are transferable to manufacturing, mechanical or CAD/D engineering associate degrees.

Upon successful completion of all the program, graduates will:

  • have knowledge in basic math, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes
  • demonstrate proficiency in basic manufacturing analysis and problem-solving
  • understand product variation concepts and utilization of statistical process control know how to program CNC machines manually
  • be ready to apply knowledge of computer applications including word-processing and spreadsheets.
