Earn a degree

The curriculum is designed either as a career or transfer program.

  • Career-oriented students are prepared for beginning positions in public and private accounting. Typical positions for which graduates are qualified include: junior account clerk, assistant auditor, cost accounting clerk and assistant office manager.
  • Students may transfer to the four-year school of their choice to pursue a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Earn a certificate

An accounting certificate program is available to students who do not wish to pursue a full two-year course of study.

What will I learn?

You can expect to leave NVCC with an understanding of accounting concepts, principles, techniques and methods as well as a broad array of business, general education and technology courses.
