Express START Walk-In days make starting college easy.

What is an Express START Walk-In Day?

Walk-In days are an opportunity to complete all of the steps in the enrollment process in one day. All hands are on deck to help you navigate through the admissions, registration and payment processes. See all the steps and details on our checklist.

When are they being held?

Waterbury  & Danbury Campuses

You must arrive between 9:00am-12:30pm for placement testing unless otherwise noted on the chart below.

What do I need?

If you haven’t applied, you will need to complete a college application and provide the $20 application fee. You can apply in advance at www.nv.edu/Apply

  • Proof of high school completion
  • Immunization documentation for MMRV
  • Please bring your ID number, social security number and photo identification
  • Payment is due on the day of registration.
    If your financial aid has not been finalized, you will need to make a payment through our payment plan or pay your tuition in full. See www.nv.edu/Paying-for-College  for information. We accept cash, check or credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Discover).

Where do I go?

Waterbury Campus: 750 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT
Check in with Admissions, Room K500 in Kinney Hall.
Parking is available in “C” lot. Driving directions.

Danbury Campus: 183 Main Street, Danbury, CT
Parking is available in the Patriot Garage on the corner of National and Delay Streets.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in attending NVCC this fall who would like to take care of “any” or “all” of the following items in one day!

  • apply to the college
  • apply for financial aid (financial aid processing takes at least a few weeks, so apply at www.fafsa.gov before you attend a walk-in day)
  • take the placement test
  • meet with an advisor
  • register for classes
  • begin paying for classes ( a payment will be required if your financial aid is not ready)

Students attending this session can register for classes held in Waterbury, Danbury or BOTH.
