Admission to NVCC as an International Student

Application and fees

Students may download an application form or request it by mail from the Office of Admissions. 

If you apply online, you will need to pay the application fee of $20 with a major credit card. If you mail your application, please attach a check or money order (converted to U.S. currency and payable to NVCC) to the application. Do not send currency.

Proof of graduation

A high school diploma or official transcript noting your date of graduation (translated into English) is required. In some cases, transcripts may need to be evaluated by World Education Services or another evaluation service.

College transcripts and course descriptions are only required if you want to receive transfer credit for college-level work that you have already completed. College transcripts from outside of the U.S. must be sent to one of the evaluation services listed above.

Immunization records

Proof of immunization against MMRV (Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella) must be provided. The state of Connecticut requires two doses of each vaccination.

Evidence of English proficiency

A TOEFL score report or other proof of English proficiency is required. The preferred score is 61 on the internet based test.  We also accept IELTS score reports.  The preferred score is 6.0.
