Program Overview

Non-credit Online Learning is offered in collaboration with Ed2go in 2 formats.

6-week courses are accelerated with 12 lessons.  A lesson becomes available on Wednesday and Friday of each of the 6 weeks. The lessons include interactive quizzes, assignments and tutorials. Online discussion area supplement the lessons.

Online Career Training  courses are designed to provide the workforce skills necessary to enter a new field or advance your current career.  These courses range from 200 -340 hours each and are self-paced so you have the time you need to master the material.  Courses must be completed within 6 – 9 months of registration unless an extension is approved by Ed2go.

When considering an online course, it is important to think about what kind of a learner you are and will your learning environment support your success.  Will you have the time to dedicate to your lessons in your own home environment?  Do you learn better with more structure? A teacher in front of the class? A specific meeting time?  Do you have a reliable computer and internet connection?  Take a moment to participate in a demonstration of an actual Distance Learning course. Go to  www.ed2go.com/nvcc and click on "Demo" in the top tool bar.
