Naugatuck Valley Community College invites individuals to submit original work for possible inclusion in its 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book, which will be published in the fall of 2017.  This book will honor the history of the College's beautiful campus and submissions from students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community are highly encouraged. The Commemorative Book Committee welcomes essays, poems, photographs, drawings, and paintings for consideration. The theme of the book will be “Celebrating NVCC.” Submissions may be representative of Waterbury State Technical College, Mattatuck Community College and Naugatuck Valley Community College’s Waterbury and Danbury campuses from 1954 through the present day. Interested parties will need to indicate their intention to submit a paper by emailing Editor Beth Monchun at: bmonchun@nv.edu, with the title and a brief summary of their submission. The full written submission, as a Word document, should be submitted by April 10. After the editors receive an email of intent, essay guidelines will be mailed to individuals  Artwork may be submitted electronically to: bmonchun@nv.edu or mailed to the Office of the President, Kinney Hall, Room K703, Waterbury, CT 06708. Due to an anticipated high volume of submissions, not all submissions will be selected for publication. Please contact Beth Monchun at bmonchun@nv.edu or (203) 575-8083 with any questions.
