On May 25, 2012 at its 47th commencement, Naugatuck Valley Community College celebrated, for the third year in a row, the largest graduating class in the history of the College.
Students were awarded 643 Associate in Science degrees, 85 Associate of Arts degrees and 280 certificates in various subjects and areas of specialization.
There are 819 graduates, including 159 students who received multiple degrees and certificates. The total number of awards conferred is 1,008.
NVCC graduates hailed from 96 municipalities across Connecticut and 6 other states. The youngest graduate this year is 17, the oldest 70 years of age. The largest field of study was General Studies, in which 186 associate degrees were awarded.
