On May 19, 2011 at its 46th commencement, Naugatuck Valley Community College celebrated, for the second year in a row, the largest graduating class in the history of the College.
Students were awarded 584 Associate in Science degrees, 58 Associate of Arts degrees and 251 certificates in various subjects and areas of specialization.
There were 742 graduates, including 134 students who received multiple degrees and certificates. The total number of awards conferred was 893.
NVCC graduates hailed from 89 municipalities across Connecticut and 3 other states. The youngest graduate was 18, the oldest 70 years of age. The largest field of study was General Studies, in which 146 associate degrees were awarded.
