Program Description

This certificate program will prepare students for applications and system programming positions within a business environment. Courses are designed to offer students immediate positions in industry, and will also provide a solid foundation for continuation in our two year associates degree in Computer Information Systems Technology.

Program Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of all program requirements, graduates will be able to:

  1. Acquire a familiarization with terminology and structure of various programming languages.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to use software tools for program development.
  3. Write, compile and run effective business applications.
  4. Troubleshoot common programming problems and test solutions.
  5. Demonstrate a basic understanding of relational database concepts.
